Although as “born-again” believers we may attend church regularly¸ own and read the Bible but our lifestyle may have not integrate with the core biblical principles to form a unified and meaningful response to the challenges and opportunities of life. The main problem is that we may not have the acerbically aligned world view of seeing things from God’s perspective.
Matthew 6:22-23 (NIV)
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
What is a worldview?
A worldview is the framework (a mental model) from which we view reality upon which we see things and affects our attitudes, decisions and conduct in our daily life. Our worldview is shaped and formed by many factors such as own personal inherited characteristics from our upbringing, life experiences and circumstances, education, culture etc… These shape our personal perception of life and the world around us. They form our belief system, our attitudes, our values and mindset. This is the basic reason why the spiritual battleground is in our mind. The bible is clear that we are to have a “Mind of Christ”. (Philippians 4:7; 1 Corinthians. 2:16). You will act on what you belief.
Therefore, we want to know the God’s truth we must have a biblical worldview basing on the infallible Word of God that give us the God’s moral absolutes which determine our responses in life. In the end of age, deception is the main strategy of Satan and this will come through fake news, deceptive propaganda, false teaching and prophecies.
Therefore, a correct understanding of the time in which we live requires us to look at things from the biblical perspective especially the provisions of the covenants and the prophecies. We must a fundamentalist of our faith believing in the Scripture and obeying the biblical doctrines.
